Once tightened, the end cap is rock-solid. Nothing short of an enormously evil nuclear explosion will be moving this any time soon!
The view from the back shows how a nice air gap is created all the way around. There will be no issues of not enough air getting through to the radiator (I also have a plan for the inside to help ensure this as well).
The intake now needed a home. Another end cover drilled...
...and the intake attached using M5 screws and counter-sunk Armor Rings.
I ended up using nuts to secure it. Probably overkill, but the intake part is fairly hefty.
The final result polished to a nice 280grit satin finish. With the main cylinder, end sections and end covers done, it was time to tackle the timer.
